Zucchini Pasta + Meat Sauce

This super healthy (and filling) dinner has NO carbs, but feels like comfort food!

There really are only 5 ingredients in this dish (not counting oil, salt and oregano) and if you have a spiralizer it is a cinch to make. Full disclosure, I do NOT have a spiralizer (I KNOW! what is wrong with me?!) so I cut each thin “noodle” by hand. TOTALLY worth it! But seriously, just get a spiralizer. Google it – amazon has it – everyone who has one uses it all the time!

Zucchini Pasta and Meat Sauce

Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil, add 2 small cans of tomato paste and then fill that small can 4x with water and add to pan. Season with salt and oregano. Brown 1lb of ground turkey and add to sauce. Cut zucchini into thin “noodles” or use a spiralizer if you have one. Cook the zucchini in a tiny bit of water in a sauté pan until tender.



  1. This is a great recipe, and shows that spiralizers have application across all sorts of cookery, not just salads and vegan fare. Fair play for doing it manually though! 🙂
